The tracks on this album are divided into two halves-the first of which are calmer, more ambient synth-heavy tracks used during exploratory portions of the game, transitioning into punchier and more dynamic tracks, used in the combat portions of the game.
Looking for something with a little bit more of a sci-fi flair? Check out Ben Prunty’s soundtrack for FTL. This album is a must-listen for those who gravitate toward soothing music while they work. Wintory manages to mimic Journey’s warm color palette in its music, creating washes of sound that gently ebb and flow. The music for Journey, by Austin Wintory, is atmospheric, meditative, and relaxing. It should come as no surprise that one of the most visually arresting games in recent memory has a soundtrack equally as incredible.
